A Bit Pricy

I will go to Tokyo later this month to see my parents again. This will be the first time I see them in over four months, so it's something that's long overdue. Unfortunately, my holiday period coincides with the end of the school year, meaning that now is the perfect excuse for companies of all kinds to jack up prices.


JAL, for example. A return flight to Tokyo usually costs around 15,000 yen. But in the period I happen to want to travel in? 35,000 yen. 70,000 yen return. That's £300, $600, €450. Over double what I should pay. And I'm leaving a full week before the end of school. And the website reports seats on ALL flights.

Looks like I'll be going hungry this month...
